• By the time we reached the gate, the place was crowded with thousands of people (although the park was not scheduled to open for another hour). That sure was a sign that this could well be the busiest day that year!!!
• We used our new Sony TRV330 camcorder for the first time in the park.
• Although, we ventured on this trip because of Lata (Maanasa's ex-roomate in Dallas), unfortunately, we couldn't do the rides with her because we didn't have common interests.
• Harsha (Maanasa's cousin) had his first-ever theme park experience and he enjoyed that a lot.
• If any of you guys go there during peak season, do use their 'FastPass' facility at the most popular rides, so you won't have to waste hours standing in the regular queues. (Some rides/shows have a standard wait time of about 3 hours... dammit!)
• Best ride - Indiana Jones.
• Best show - Honey, I shrunk the audience.
• The gas pedals in the go-cart cars were so hard that all of us ended up with horrible knee-aches after the 2-minute ride!!!
• One of the most popular rides, 'The Space Mountain' (unfortunately no fastpass facility available) had a huge huge queue (probably the longest I ever saw), so we just skipped the ride.
• Entrance fee per head - 43$ (incl. taxes)
• Incredible fireworks show and a colorful holiday season parade.
• Heightened security checks in the wake of September 11 terrorist attacks.
• Park closing time - 12 midnight.
• We ate dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Rainforest Cafe. The restaurant is based on the rainforest theme and is full of trees, waterfalls and aritificial (moving) animals. There is also a beautiful huge acqurium filled with exotic fishes and marine life.
• Reached hotel - 2 am!!
